How Our Speed Dating Works

Check in and settle in
Arrive a little early, grab your name tag and match sheet, and enjoy the venue. At many events ladies get a complimentary drink on arrival.

Rotate through short dates
Ladies stay seated and men rotate. Each date lasts about five to seven minutes, long enough to feel the chemistry. Some nights add a light "compatibility question" to every round.

Get your matches
Mark who you'd like to see again. We collect the sheets and send your mutual matches the next morning by email, text or both.

Dating apps give you profiles. Speed dating gives you people. In a single evening you'll have face-to-face conversations with a room of singles in your age range, and you'll know within minutes whether there's a spark.
Our NYC speed dating events run in hand-picked Manhattan venues such as Rosa Agave on Hudson Street, Cloud One's sixth-floor lounge on Greenwich Street, Printers Alley and Sourmouse. Every event is hosted, so there's no awkward start and no one gets left out.
Find your age bracket
Events are grouped by age so you meet people at a similar stage of life. The calendar rotates through ranges such as 21–29, 22–37, 30–45, 32–48, 35–55 and 40s & 50s. The range is always in the event title.
Themed nights keep it fun
Alongside classic formats we run themed nights like "Dating Games" with a unique twist, Date & Play, mystery speed dating and seasonal specials such as our Halloween "Love at First Bite" night.
How long is each date?
Each one-on-one conversation lasts about five to seven minutes. The host keeps time and signals when it's time to rotate.
How do I find out who I matched with?
You mark who you'd like to see again on your match sheet. We collect the sheets at the end and send your mutual matches the next morning by email, text or both, whichever you prefer.
Do I have to be in the age range?
Yes. Each event is for the age range in its title so everyone meets people at a similar stage of life.
What should I wear?
Ladies: dress to impress. Men: business casual, such as a crisp shirt, clean trousers and nice shoes. A blazer is a plus but not required.
Is there a minimum spend at the venue?
At some venues, yes. When a venue waives its rental fee and provides complimentary drinks, there is a small minimum bar purchase. It's always stated on the event listing.
Is there anything after the dating rounds?
Many of our speed dating events include a complimentary after party with additional singles, so the night doesn't end when the bell rings.
